Silencia

Privacy Policy

Last updated : June 29, 2026

Silencia is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and, importantly, what it does not do — with your data.

Summary

Silencia is a phone (dialer) app for Android. Its data — your contacts, lists and call-filtering rules — is stored in a local database on your device.

There is no Silencia account, and the app does not sync that data to any server. It never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself through your device.

Data stored on your device

The contact lists you create, the pause rules you configure, and your app preferences are stored locally on the device using a local database.

This information is used solely to make the app work — to show your contacts, build lists and apply your rules to incoming and outgoing calls.

No network on the call path

Silencia performs zero network requests while screening a call. No URL is fetched and no data is sent to decide how an incoming call is handled.

Permissions and why they are needed

Place calls (CALL_PHONE): to make outgoing calls as your Phone app.

Read contacts (READ_CONTACTS): to match callers and let you build lists.

Read call log (READ_CALL_LOG, optional): to show your Recent calls screen.

Phone state (READ_PHONE_STATE): to handle call state and voicemail notifications.

Silencia never requests SMS, location, microphone or storage permissions.

No third-party sharing

Because your data stays on your device and the app does not use a server, there is no sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.

Your control

You stay in control of your data at all times. Uninstalling the app removes the local database and all rules and lists stored by Silencia from your device.
